I like your daily portrait sketches of Mbappe. I'm doing something similar these days, but not of the same subject each day. And I also appreciate your absolutely accurate description of how we live now, between grief and exhilaration. As for the diary of your day: Knausgaard kind of infects everything. The books should be labeled: writers, read at your own risk!

Hi Amitava ji. Thank you for your musings. You have spoken about moving from anxiety over Palestine to enjoying a football match- some of us do that switch and feel the guilt too. Perhaps, it is a coping mechanism. You have also spoken about the CJP, Dipke, Wangchuk, Sharjeel and Umar Khalid- all of them are fighting the good fight for all of us. Sad about how SM has succeeded in maligning them. Happy to be living in a city, where the police offered protection for a programme that brought out a book on .Khalid. Was heartwarming to hear friends and well-wishers speak of this exceptionally brave young man, who is able to stay so positive in prison. We may all need to keep this positivity going- for the long haul.
