My essay in the latest issue of Foreign Policy
This is a short SubStack. Just sharing that I have an essay titled “Becoming Indian” in the latest issue of Foreign Policy, a special issue devoted to India. I should add that I wrote the essay as a response to the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Even before I wrote the essay, I made a painting that I gave the name “Modern Indian History” (उर्फ़, आप क्रोनोलॉजी समझिये!). Here is the painting, oil on wood panel:
